Solar Impulse II

Venue: San Pablo Airport, Seville (ES)

In 2015, Solar Impulse II took-off from Abu Dhabi, embarking on an 18-month circumnavagation of the globe powered entirely by the 18.000 small solar panels fitted throughout the single-seater aircraft. On it’s second-last stopover, our company was chosen to coordinate and install all necessary infrastructure and services for it’s 2-week stay within the grounds of Seville’s International Airport.

The initial brief was to provide a temporary hanger to shelter the aircraft with an Access space of 40m wide. Beyond the sourcing and installation of a suitable marquee structure our contribution to the Project quickly expanded to incorpórate ll infrastructure aspects as well as audiovisual support and catering for the world’s press and local dignitries upon it’s arrival in the Andalucia capital.
